Protecting the Danubian Limes

Roman legionary from the end of the 1st century AD, beginning of the 2nd century AD belonging to the Legio V Macedonica who carries out surveillance and patrol work on the border with the kingdom of Dacia during the winter. As we can see this legionary is equipped with an imperial gallic type helmet, lorica segmentata or plate armor and tile shield. In addition he also wears a protector on his right arm known as manica, developed mainly to fight against the dacians equipped with the fearsome falx, and metal greaves on both legs. Completing the equipment as offensive weapons we can see the pilum, the classic throwing spear of the high imperial and late republican army, the pugio or knife on its left side and the gladius that we cannot see in this illustration. I made two versions, one with a red shield and another in blue, so everyone can choose the one they prefer🤷‍♂️ I liked both options.
